Each of the ingredients in the dubbin has a unique character and therefore imparts a special trait to the leather. Researched from traditional recipes and using only natural ingredients this conditioner/dubbing out performs and is kindest to the leather.
The beeswax protects the surface and adds that unique feel to the treated leather. leaving a waterproof protective layer.
The tallow penetrates a little better, but also contributes to that waxy nature, but also has a lower melting point, so it changes more effectively when warmed slightly than the wax which remains solid to a bit warmer condition.
The fish oil penetrates deep and softens as well as providing anti-oxidant properties and even some tanning when heated. This fish oil does not smell. In fact it helps bring back the new leather smell!
Lanolin helps to hydrate the fibres and prevent them from drying out and cracking, it also acts as a water repellent for leather
The glycerine is a good humectant and keeps the leather from over drying by pulling moisture from the air.
Not only can this professional leather conditioner be used to protect new leather, its able to revive old leather by replenishing its natural oils and moisturizing its fibre's. The blend of beeswax, tallow, lanolin, glycerine and fish oil work together to hydrate the leather, preventing it from cracking or becoming brittle. This effectively reduces the signs of aging, such as dryness, discoloration and stiffness, giving the leather a new lease on life. Regular use of this leather conditioner will help to keep your leather looking and feeling like new, even as it ages.
To use this leather conditioner, follow these simple steps:
- Clean the leather surface thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or dust.
- Apply a small amount of the conditioner to a soft cloth.
- Gently rub the cloth into the leather, working it in evenly to cover the entire surface.
- Allow the conditioner to absorb into the leather for a few minutes.
- Wipe off any excess conditioner with a clean, dry cloth.
Note: Always test the conditioner on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it does not cause any discoloration or damage to the leather. Avoid using excessive amounts of the conditioner and only use it on leather surfaces, not suede, Faux or any other material.
